The full schedule will be published here. Talk slots are assigned after the September 29 acceptance decisions, once the spotlight talks are selected from the submissions and NeurIPS confirms the exact day within December 12–13.
The day runs roughly eight hours in person in Atlanta and deliberately gives more time to the panel, the breakouts, and connecting than to talks, in line with NeurIPS guidance on workshop format. Invited talks and spotlights run in the morning, a panel on evaluation in practice follows lunch, and the day closes with themed breakout sessions.
Discussion periods turn into documented output rather than informal conversation: each of the three breakouts is organized around one of the themes and has a designated note-taker, and the rapporteur summaries feed the open-problems registry on GitHub and the community position paper.

Atlanta, December 12–13, 2026, in person. NeurIPS confirms the exact day within that window; this page is updated as soon as it does.
Travel support
Registration-fee waivers and travel grants will be available, prioritizing first-time attendees. Details are published once sponsorship is confirmed.
Mentorship
A mentorship program pairs early-career researchers with senior academics before or during the workshop. Sign-up details follow the acceptance notifications.
Code of conduct
A code of conduct establishing expectations for a respectful, inclusive environment will be published here before the workshop.
Spotlight talks are selected from submissions
Papers are due August 29, 2026 (AoE), with three double-blind reviews via OpenReview.
